Pediatrics
This page identifies interoperability needs, associated technical standards, and implementation specifications within the ISA that support high-priority health IT functions, including EHRs, for the delivery of healthcare to children. These interoperability capabilities are essential for enabling data exchange that supports pediatric-specific clinical care, promotes early detection and management of health conditions, and ensures continuity of care across diverse care settings and developmental stages. While this list focuses on pediatric care, many of the identified needs and standards are also applicable to other medical specialties and practice environments. ASTP/ONC welcomes feedback to expand and refine this list to further advance interoperability and improve health outcomes for children.
