Interoperability Review: Standards and the Patient: Alzheimer's Disease as an Example

This article discusses how data from multiple Alzheimer's clinical trials can be compared using common data formats. Previously, the studies could not be appropriately compared against one another because the data were not in a common format. This is yet another example of the role interoperability can play in improving the health of all Americans.
