Drew Schiller co-founded and serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Validic, the leading digital health platform for connecting patient-generated data from apps, wearables, and in-home medical devices to the healthcare system. At Validic, Drew leads the product and technology strategy, drives key initiatives, and works closely with senior executives at partner organizations to stay ahead of the innovation curve.

Drew believes that digital health will reshape healthcare. He speaks, writes, and provides interviews on a variety of digital health topics, including connected health, the future of digital health technology, interoperability and data access, digital health privacy and security, open data and standards, as well as  practical use cases regarding how consumer health devices can be used in clinical settings to improve the quality of care, better health outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs.

Drew serves on the Board of Directors for Validic, helping govern the corporate strategy, identity, and mission. Additionally, he sits on the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Health & Fitness Technology Board and contributes to CTA Health & Fitness subcommittees on Interoperability, Privacy and Security, and Standards. As head of a CTA subcommittee on Standards, Drew is charged with helping define standards for physical activity across wearable devices. In addition to his work with CEA, Drew serves on the eHealth Initiative’s (eHI) Leadership Council and participates in the eHI Interoperability Workgroup.

Before co-founding Validic, Drew started and managed an award-winning web development firm for eight years. He also founded and exited a niche dietary nutrition website for patients with celiac disease, and served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Iowa teaching graduate courses in web development and usability.
