Ginny Meadows, RN, BS, FHIMSS has more than 25 years’ experience in clinical informatics and health information technology, and has been in healthcare for over 30 years. Most recently she was the Vice President, regulatory strategy for McKesson Corporation, responsible for critical review of market position and product development strategy related to healthcare policy and regulatory topics, focusing on the move to value-based care and payment reform. Prior to that, she coordinated a company-wide program related to the CMS EHR Incentive program and meaningful use.
Ginny has held key positions in product management and development, terminology and content management, and analytics and quality improvement initiatives. She began her healthcare informatics career at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, as the clinical coordinator in information services. She recently was appointed to a National Quality Forum technical expert panel on Patient Decision Aids, and is a member of the ONC FACA Workgroup for Advanced Health Models and Meaningful Use. She recently participated as a member of the CMS Lean Design MIPS Workgroup as well as numerous CMS quality measurement improvement activities. She is also an active member of HIMSS, AMIA and the ANA.
