He’s launched start-up Health Technology companies including Doctor’s Partner, Physicians Practioner Office Assistant, Liquid Medical Office (LMO), Nortec, TextTalkMD, and Prognosis EMR and founded a non-profit group “Urban Healthcare Information Technology Advisors” (UHITA) Academically, he’s a speaker on “Technology’s Role in Improving Global Healthcare Businesses.” He is a teaching instructor for Office of National Coordinator (ONC) –HHS, Health Information Technology (HIT) Workforce Development Community College HIT Programs and is Graduate School University Professor of HIT and Leadership. His personal passion is to transform underserved communities to quickly adopt effective Healthcare IT strategies for consumer engagement. He serves on several national committees and/or boards including NCPDP, HIMSS, ONC, AHIMA, Patient Privacy Rights Group, Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU), and HIT advisor for National Medicine Association (NMA). Ty honorably served the US Marine Corps, graduated Indiana University’s School of Public & Environmental Affairs in Public Health Policy and has a Master’s Degree from Michigan State University in Media Advertising. He’s tops in the field of health information technology management and leadership earning multiple recognition awards throughout his career.
