The S&I Task Force was charged with identifying ways ONC could evolve the S&I Framework to support industry needs and those anticipated by the three, six, and ten year milestones included in the Interoperability Roadmap.

At the March 18, 2015 meeting, the Health IT Standard’s Committee approved recommendations from the S&I Task Force. The Task Force was charged with identifying whether there is a continued need for the S&I Framework, identified ways the current S&I Framework can be improved or enhanced, and considered alternatives to address industry needs.
