In this new series, come learn about clinical decision support (CDS) from the ONC team and real-world implementers.
New in 2023 – The ONC Tech Forum is back in 2023, although with a slightly different look. Instead of a single event, ONC will now host Tech Forum workshops throughout the year, giving you multiple opportunities to learn about how we can advance health technology to improve patient care, health equity, data exchange, and interoperability.
Session #1: What to Know About CDS | Session #2: The Future of CDS | Session #3: Creating Value by Modernizing and Measuring CDS
This session will introduce attendees to basic information about clinical decision support, with a focus on learning about resources so it can be implemented locally. The session will highlight examples of CDS that are currently being used in the real world.
This session will cover topics important to the future of clinical decision support. The session will begin with education sessions on CDS Hooks, SMART apps, and CDS Connect. Then, speakers will discuss patient-centered CDS, focusing on the work of AHRQ’s Clinical Decision Support Innovation Collaborative. The session will close with a discussion on ways to incorporate CDS into new topic areas such as social determinants of health, cancer screening, and other areas.
