The University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML), a public Minority Serving Institution (MSI) located in the Massachusetts Merrimack Valley, proposes to work on this initiative with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, three local MSIs (Northern Essex, Middlesex, and Nashua Community Colleges) and a diverse group of partner organizations. The collective goal is to create a diverse group of highly qualified, public health information technology (IT) practitioners to work collaboratively and develop and apply cutting-edge health information technologies that turn data into actionable public health knowledge.
