HTI-5 Final Rule
ONC’s Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: ONC Deregulatory Actions to Unleash Prosperity (HTI-5) Final Rule reduces burden on health IT developers by streamlining the ONC Health IT Certification Program. The final rule removes and revises requirements, directly reducing compliance-related costs for health IT developers and supporting innovation in alignment with Executive Order 14192. Â
The HTI-5 final rule enables ONC to reset the Certification Program’s regulatory scope to establish a new foundation on which to build Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources®-based application programming interface (API) requirements.
