The recommended bandwidth is at least 10 megabits per second (Mbps) for a small clinic that wants to support all of the following: practice management functions such as billing and scheduling, e-mail, and Web browsing; simultaneous use of electronic health record (EHR) and video consultations in standard definition video (SD); non-real-time image downloads; remote monitoring; and possible use of video consultation in high definition video (HD).
