Register for the EHR Incentive Programs

The Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs provide incentive payments to eligible professionals and eligible hospitals as they adopt, implement, upgrade, or demonstrate meaningful use of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology.

• Medicare EHR Incentive Program: Registration is open to eligible professionals and eligible hospitals. You can register before having a certified EHR system installed.
• Medicaid EHR Incentive Program: Check if your State is participating in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.If your State is already participating, register now. You can register before having a system installed.

Your Local Regional Extension Center Can Help

Your local Regional Extension Center (REC) can help you register for the EHR Incentive Programs. RECs are located in every region of the country to help health care providers select, implement, and become adept and meaningful users of EHRs. Contact your local REC to find out if you are eligible for free or reduced-price EHR implementation support.
