Eligible Professionals

According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), eligible professionals (EPs) under the Medicare EHR Incentive Program include:

• Doctors of medicine or osteopathy
• Doctors of dental surgery or dental medicine
• Doctors of podiatry
• Doctors of optometry
• Chiropractors

Eligible Hospitals

Eligible hospitals (EHs) under the Medicare EHR Incentive Program include:

• Subsection (d) hospitals in the 50 states or Washington D.C. that are paid under the Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS)
• Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs)
• Medicare Advantage Hospitals
