This is the final report and evaluation of the Regional Extension Center (REC) program. The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) established the REC program to provide technical assistance to providers in areas such as EHR implementation and project management, training, vendor selection and financial consultation, workflow redesign, and privacy and security. The REC program prioritized providers working in small primary care practices, practices with large proportion of patients with Medicaid or without insurance, community health centers, rural health clinics, and Critical Access hospitals. .
