Ever have a complaint about the inability to share electronic health information and didn’t know where to turn? Have you ever needed to tell someone about your concerns with your certified health IT product, such as an electronic health record (EHR) and didn’t know where to go?
Today, ONC launched www.healthit.gov/healthitcomplaints to address these concerns and be the single point of entry for you to report problems or complaints about your health IT product.
New Hospital Survey Data Show Progress Toward Interoperability

A snapshot of health information exchange among America’s hospitals shows that 41 percent routinely are able to access important health information about a patient during treatment from sources outside their hospital according to recent ONC analysis of 2014 data from the AHA.

Improving and streamlining the testing and certification of health IT has long been a goal of ONC. To that end, on June 9th we published a notice in the Federal Register that reintroduced a flexibility included in the ONC Health IT Certification Program that allows the National Coordinator to consider test procedures, test tools, and test data developed by any person or entity for approved use.
