1. Implementation Specification- HL7® CDA® R2 Implementation Guide: National Health Care Surveys (NHCS), R1 STU Release 3.1 - US Realm- Under Implementation Maturity, change from Production to Pilot

2. Implementation Specification- HL7 CDA R2 Implementation Guide: National Health Care Surveys (NHCS), R1 DSTU Release 1.2 - US Realm- Under Implementation Maturity, change Implementation Maturity from Pilot to Production. Under Adoption Level -Medium to High 

3. Implementation Specification - HL7 CDA R2 Implementation Guide: National Health Care Surveys (NHCS), R1 DSTU Release 1.1 - US Realm-Under Implementation Maturity change from Pilot to Replaced by 1.2 

4. Change from Emerging Standard to Implementation Specification, under Standards Process Maturity change from In Development to Published in a balloted draft. Under the Adoption level add Feedback Requested. Under Test Tool Availability -No

  • To align with CDC’s data modernization initiative, DHCS has developed and published the  Health Care Surveys FHIR Implementation Guide 1.0.0- STU1 Release 1. This is one of the use cases that is testing the application and use of the MedMorph reference architecture. This standard is not currently listed in ONC’s Standards Version Advancement Process (SVAP).

Changes/Updates:

Implementation Specification – “HL7 Implementation Guide for CDA® Release 2: National Health Care Surveys (NHCS), Release 1 - US Realm” is phased out with replacement.

STU 1.2 Aligns with Promoting Interoperability program requirements. Current STU 1.2 implementations who want to fix issues with 1.2 submissions should consider upgrading to STU 2.1
