Are members compensated?

This is a volunteer position, there is no pay.

What is the time commitment?

The time commitments vary based on the charge and tasks. On average, task forces meet for 90 minutes every other week for the duration of the charge (typically 3-6 months). If there is a specific task with a tight deadline, the pace may increase.

Is there travel involved?

Task force meetings are virtual (web and phone).  Under rare circumstances, a task force may meet in-person in the greater DC metro area.  In this case, travel/lodging/per diem support is provided for members.

Can I nominate someone other than me?

In order to create an account and submit an application in the database, individuals need to apply directly. Letters of support can be attached to an individual’s application.
