{"id":15496,"date":"2020-03-30T15:29:23","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T19:29:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/healthit-gov.go-vip.net\/buzz-blog\/?p=15496"},"modified":"2026-01-06T16:49:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T16:49:06","slug":"calling-all-covid19-health-it-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/healthit.gov\/blog\/interoperability\/calling-all-covid19-health-it-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Calling all COVID-19 Health IT Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Just over four years ago, I <a href=\"https:\/\/healthit.gov\/buzz-blog\/interoperability\/interoperability-proving-ground\">announced the launch<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/healthit.gov\/certification-health-it\/\/\">Interoperability Proving Ground<\/a> (IPG), an open, community platform where you can share, learn, and be inspired by interoperability projects taking place across the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re working on a COVID-19 interoperability project, you will have the ability to share it with your colleagues through the IPG and tag it \u201cCOVID-19.\u201d You can also quickly get to COVID-19 tagged projects by clicking this <a href=\"https:\/\/healthit.gov\/certification-health-it\/\/?tag=COVID-19\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may need to quickly set up a username and password, but once you do, adding a project is pretty simple: enter a title, provide a brief description, and tag it COVID-19. There\u2019s so much going on it\u2019s easy to be overwhelmed and hard to keep track. Should you join an initiative or start one of your own? Is someone confronting the same challenge you are? If we all share our efforts, the health IT community can come together in the most nimble way possible to provide tools that can help fight this pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We need to be organized, and to be organized we need a dynamic, lightweight way to share what we\u2019re working on, who\u2019s doing it, how we can support one another, and how to find out more. That\u2019s exactly the open forum that the IPG can provide.
