2014 Edition Test Method
The 2014 Edition Test Method was formally approved on December 14, 2012 by the National Coordinator and is now effective for use in ONC HIT Certification Program (formerly known as the Permanent Certification Program). Notice of the approval appears in the Jan. 2, 2013 Federal Register.

The 2014 Edition Test Method is listed below by certification criterion number. If there is no Test Data link, the Test Data are either not required or supplied by the vendor. Links to applicable Test Tools are included in the Test Procedure document and noted below. *Notice: There are two versions of the NIST Transport Test Tool (TTT); (1) the downloadable version, and (2) the online version of the tool. The downloadable version of the TTT has been updated. Download an updated Installation Guide and User Guide.
The Transport Test Tool was updated on Friday, February 15, 2013. Version 1.4 of the Test Procedure for 170.314(e)(1) – View, Download, and Transmit reflects the functionalities in the updated test tool’s February 15th release.
Additional updates were made to the Transport Test Tool on Friday, March 1, 2013. Version 1.4 of 170.314(b)(1) – Transitions of care: receive, display, incorporate, and Version 1.4 of 170.314(b)(2) – Transitions of care: create and transmit were posted on March 1, 2013 to coincide with the functionalities released in the Transport Test Tool on March 1, 2013.
